Gender And Social Inclusion Strategy & Action Plan-Abc Kenya

The African Biodigester Component project in Kenya (ABC-K), implemented by GIZ and SNV in partnership with Africa Bioenergy Programs Limited (ABPL), has developed a Gender and Social Inclusion (GESI) Strategy and Action Plan to guide its work from 2022 to 2025.

The strategy ensures that women, men, youth, and people living with disabilities benefit equally from the project’s interventions. It draws on a GESI analysis and stakeholder input to mainstream gender and inclusion across project implementation, partner engagement, and participant support.

Key focus areas include supporting women entrepreneurs, promoting women’s employment in male-dominated fields, designing gender-sensitive marketing and training approaches, and fostering equal opportunities for all.

This document provides the framework for ensuring that ABC-K’s contribution to Kenya’s energy access and climate goals is both inclusive and sustainable.
